Tour de Ken

A weekly log. Cycling as organizing constraint.

I am training for the Tour Divide, a 2,745-mile self-supported ride from Banff to the Mexican border. I am doing this with a fused ankle, a body that does not yet match the project, and the understanding that most of what matters will be decided long before the start line.

The posts are not training updates. They are observations about what happens when you apply design discipline to a physical system under constraint: how equipment decisions compound, how load reveals capacity, how the body reports what the mind would prefer to ignore.

It started in November 2025. It publishes on Mondays.
